In the NFL, 3-time Pro Bowl Defensive End, Michael Bennett has announced his retirement after 11 NFL seasons. Bennet said in a tweet, "As the great Toni Morrison said: 'Freeing yourself was one thing, claiming ownership of that freed self was another.” On Tuesday, Bennett told The New Yorker that in addition to spending more time with his family, he wants to help athletes be heard when it comes to social and racial injustice. Staying with the Giants, Alyssa Nakken becomes the first-ever female coach to coach “in an on-field capacity.” She was the replacement for Antoan Richardson as a first base coach in the late innings of last night’s game. Nakken joined the Giants in January to become the first female to hold a full-time coaching job in the MLB major league level. According to a report from Bleacher Report, the Dallas Mavericks may attempt to snag Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021. Giannis and the Bucks will have to sign a long term deal before the deadline in 2021. If they cannot reach that deal by then, Antetokounmpo will be up for grabs in free agency with the Mavericks being first inline.
