In the NFL, 3-time Pro Bowl Defensive End, Michael Bennett has announced his retirement after 11 NFL seasons. Bennet said in a tweet, "As the great Toni Morrison said: 'Freeing yourself was one thing, claiming ownership of that freed self was another.” On Tuesday, Bennett told The New Yorker that in addition to spending more time with his family, he wants to help athletes be heard when it comes to social and racial injustice. From the Gridiron to the Diamond, San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler kneeled with most of the Giants team. ESPN reported. In a statement, Kapler said, " I told them that I wanted to use my platform to demonstrate my dissatisfaction with the way we've handled racism in our country." Kapler may be the driving force for the rest of the MLB to take part in more social injustice statements.



Staying with the Giants, Alyssa Nakken becomes the first-ever female coach to coach “in an on-field capacity.” She was the replacement for Antoan Richardson as a first base coach in the late innings of last night’s game. Nakken joined the Giants in January to become the first female to hold a full-time coaching job in the MLB major league level. She said, "I feel it's my job to honor those who have helped me to where I am.” The Giants making tons of history last night.


Now to the court, the NBA has unveiled a Black Lives Matter statement on their Orlando courts in the bubble. Speaking of the bubble, players have been complaining about the food in the bubble and experts wonder if it will affect the players’ performance during games in this abbreviated season. Conor what are your thoughts.


According to a report from Bleacher Report, the Dallas Mavericks may attempt to snag Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021. Giannis and the Bucks will have to sign a long term deal before the deadline in 2021. If they cannot reach that deal by then, Antetokounmpo will be up for grabs in free agency with the Mavericks being first inline.



The NFL and NFLPA (NFL Players Association) reached an agreement yesterday to have 0 preseason games and daily COVID-19 for players. The NFL has taken action on social injustice by putting decals on the players’ helmets. With all of the starting quarterback races in most teams, how will this agreement, especially the preseason games part of it affect those starting QB races?




In the NBA, we just learned that Justise Winslow, Grizzlies forward, is confirmed to be out for the season. He has not played a single game since signing with Memphis and will have to wait for the 2020-21 season.



In Car Racing, the Indy 500 has limited capacity in the stands to 25% after saying that they would allow 50% capacity due to COVID-19 safety concerns and precautions. Many precautions being taken due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in all sports, stay safe.
